Trouble hearing

We had a lovely holiday here. Both of our children were around. We had some nice family time. Not perfect, there are occasional personality conflicts, but still wonderful.

I like that refrain... "not perfect, but wonderful." Hmm.

You might want to try tapping on your hearing issues. First, most of us believe that our health deteriorates when we get older, but this doesn't have to be the case. Consider the possibility that your health will improve over time and as you get older! Why not?

"Even though I don't hear as well as I used to...
Even though I have trouble hearing...
Even though some things are difficult to hear, such as bad news, scary news... no wonder my hearing has shut down a bit...
Some things are just hard to hear.

Even though some things are hard to hear, I choose to believe I am safe, no matter what I hear. I choose to believe I can pick and choose what to listen to and still feel good.
I am that powerful.
I choose to hear joyfully, and with confidence and security. I choose to appreciate all the sounds around me and all the sounds within me. All my thoughts. Even my "imperfect" thoughts. Imperfect, but still wonderful.
Because I'm me, and I'm very special. There is no one else in the world quite like me. I am unique and contribute to the world in a unique way.

I choose to improve my hearing every day and enjoy hearing all the sounds of life - the birds singing, the phone ringing, the traffic and trains in the distance, the sound of my own breathing, and sound of my daughter's voice and her laughter. Even her cry. All sounds are precious. And I am at peace with all the sounds of the universe.
